About Me
Biography

I’m a lettering artist, graphic designer, and design educator with a deep focus on typography and branding. My clients range from independent businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and my work for them has won awards from leading organizations such as the Society of Typographic Arts, Pepsi, LogoLounge, PRINT Magazine, HOW Magazine, and Communication Arts.
My specialty is ambigrams—words crafted so they can be rotated, reflected, or seen differently somehow, and still be read. I’ve written and designed a book about ambigrams and have been featured in multiple industry publications and exhibitions on the subject. I’ve been the keynote speaker at the Typism Conference in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, where I also ran an ambigram workshop. And I’ve had the privilege of conducting ambigram workshops for the PepsiCo Global Design Summit, HOW Design Live, and AIGA.
My accomplishments may be serious, but I’m not always. Related to my love of letterforms and words, I’m a big fan of puns and jokes in general.
Whether building brand systems, teaching workshops, or creating expressive letterforms, I bring a different perspective and unparalleled craftsmanship to every piece of design, helping clients tell their stories & share their vision. The work I do always starts on paper - hence my philosophy below.
The connection between your brain, your eyes, your hand, and the pencil is the purest there is – allowing you to express your unfiltered thoughts.
